The Joovy ScooterX2 Double Stroller

0

Yes, I just said double stroller. Never in a million years did I think that after selling the twins’ double jogging stroller, I would be in the market for a double again. We were done having kids. D-O-N-E. Fast forward a few years later, and we are now proud {foster} parents of two little girls, one of whom we are in the process of adopting. They are both 1 and just 2 months apart in age.

I had posted this photo on my Facebook page after a trip to the doctor with my two girls and a friend’s boy:

I am wearing one, pushing one, and carrying one. Don’t try this at home, folks. Trust me on this. A friend came to my rescue and told me about Joovy – a high-quality, affordable line of family gear.  A few weeks later, the ScooterX2 arrived on my doorstep. I may or may not have done cartwheels at the thought of having both girls contained in one stroller!

I celebrated my new-found freedom by taking the littles to the park to have lunch with our teenager and her classmates.

First things first… the Joovy ScooterX2 fits {laying down!} in the back of my Expedition EL with all three rows of seating in use! That means I can keep it in my vehicle at all times and still have room for other things -groceries, suitcases, sports equipment.

The stroller folds out and up quite easily. I am a bit stroller-challenged, so it did take me a few minutes to figure things out, but all is good now.

Other Pros:

The colors! I simply love the color of our stroller -we chose greenie.

The canopy is huge and provides lots of coverage for the little ones.

It has adjustable reclining seats and a five-point harness to hold our adventurous little girls safely in place.

It handles well for everyday use.

The basket is huge and can hold a ton of stuff.

It fits through regular-sized doorways.

Two cup-holders and zippered pouches can be found on the back of the stroller.

At $229.99, it’s affordable.

It can be folded up with just one hand!

Cons:

The stroller doesn’t handle too well off the beaten path. It’s great for flat, solid surfaces and even grass, but once you hit soft dirt or gravel, it’s tough to push.

The seats must be fully reclined before folding up. This is easy to do, but sometimes we forget.

The Joovy at cattle branding!

If you are looking for a heavy-duty stroller to take off-roading or jogging, this is probably not the stroller for you. If you are in the market for an everyday, lightweight double stroller, you will love the Joovy ScooterX2!

Full disclosure: Joovy sent me the ScooterX2 to review. All stated opinions are my own, as always!
