The Sisterhood Community- Introduce Yourself! – The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC

0

This community of Shrinking Jeans readers (and writers) has come a long way in the years since it started.  I have made some very very very good friends here, one’s that I chat with on FB and via email.  A special group of them pushed me to start running and another group kept me running when the running got tough.  I triple puffy heart love this community because without it, I would most likely still be where I was a few years ago- overweight, not fit nor healthy, and bemoaning the way I look and felt.  Granted, I could still stand to lose a few pounds and I am not the fastest runner BUT overall, I feel pretty good and like what I see in the mirror.

Originally, I was going to ask for all you RUNNERS to come out of the woodwork and introduce yourself but I realized that there are SO many of you that I do not know, non-runners included.  The readership has exploded lately and while that is a wonderful thing, I feel like I don’t really know you….and you…. and you, over there, too.  Connecting with one another is what makes this community so wonderful.  Finding someone that is like you, or lives in the same state, or has the same number of children, or enjoys the same types of exercise, or has the same strengths will make you come back over and over again.

Promise, I know.

I don’t get paid the big bucks to impart huge amounts of knowledge with you (ha!).  I come back over and over again because of the community- for what I can give to you and for what I receive in return- a sense that we are all in this together.

So please, introduce yourself, tell me a little about *you*- first name, state you live in, what types of exercise you love (or don’t!), whether you are a runner or want to be, what your strengths are, what your weaknesses are, what your goals are, what you are afraid of (if anything), how did you find us, what is your favorite feature around here, etc.  Let’s get a dialogue going and if you are reading this right now and you read something in the comments that strikes a chord with you, then say so, respond, comment.

This community is made of you and is what you make of it.  Find something in common with someone else – you never know where that comment could lead you.

I cannot wait to read ALL about YOU.  Don’t be shy.

Peace.
