This weekend has been crazy busy and I’m sure I’m not alone in this.

This past week we (meaning my 9 year old son and I) started back with our new fall schedule; including 4 karate classes, 3 co-op classes, a full week of school, exercising and a weekend of Komen 3-Day training (walking 10 miles Saturday and 12 miles on Sunday) with an all day fundraiser mixed in there for me. And let’s not forget a case of vomiting (by the child) starting at 3:30a.m. and lasting till 10 a.m. on Saturday!! And let’s not forget the house that needed to be cleaned and laundry that needed washed!!

I’m guessing my weekend looks pretty familiar hopefully without the vomiting child!

So….it’s a new week and we all have goals in mind for the rest of this month. We want to exercise, eat better, and spend time with our family and friends. How are we going to accomplish all of these goals while we are busy living life?

You do have goals, right?

Here are my goals for the next 2 weeks:

1) Exercise HARD 5 days a week and take 2 days as “rest days” and do a short leisurely walk on my rest days.

2) Track my food on My Fitness Pal (and make sure most days are within my “goal” for calories). It doesn’t do any good to track my food intake if every day goes WAY over goal because of my over indulgence in sugar!

3) Get a MINIMUM of 7 hours of sleep a night (preferably 8 hours)!

4) Eat a MINIMUM of 5 servings of fruits or vegetables a day! (I’ve been doing TERRIBLE with this lately!)

5) Keep my sugar intake to a minimum  – My Fitness Pal says my goal should be 71 grams or less. I’m going to try to even push for less as I’ve been going over A LOT lately!

6) Take time for me – EVERY DAY! (Even if it’s 15 minutes, that’s better than nothing and definitely needed!)

Let’s accomplish this week!!
