We are two weeks away from January 1, 2014! And if you’re anything like me, it’s pretty much become a no-holds-barred situation with the Christmas cookies and egg nog. For real. Well, guess what? We at the Sisterhood are ready to help you get your ass back in gear and get your body in shape. Whether you’ve just made the decision to lose weight, or you’ve been working at it for years; whether you have 5 pounds or 500 pounds to lose, we’re here to support you. And we’ve been at this for 5 years, so we have a little black book full of weight loss challenge tricks to help you along the way. It’s called Weight Loss Boot Camp (#WLBootcamp), and you’re totally invited and encouraged to join.
So what does this Weight Loss Boot Camp entail?
Obviously, you’re here to lose weight, so together we will shed the pounds! The challenge will last for 8 weeks (January 1 to February 26), and we’ll have weekly check-ins on Wednesday for progress updates. If you don’t blog or keep a journal, we highly recommend you get yourself set up before the challenge kicks off! Blogs are totally free and easy to set up. Just go to WordPress.com and get started. If you don’t want to blog, no worries! Just grab a composition book or spiral notebook. There are also plenty of online tracking sites and goodness knows there’s an app for that, too.
We’ll have TWO, 4-week DietBets* ($25) running concurrently so go ahead and get ante’d up now! You can join in the first game now, and at the end of the 4 weeks, you can roll your winnings and final weigh-in into the new game. Sound confusing? It’s totally not, and we’ll be here to help you out.

You can’t lose weight by dieting alone. Exercise not only helps you burn calories, but it just makes you feel good. I swear it’s true! Our #WLBootcamp will have plenty of opportunities for you to get your sweat on. We offer a free online Bootcamp class, monthly printable fitness calendars, and we’ll be firing up a Couch to 5K running program if you’ve ever had aspirations of becoming a runner. If I can do it, trust me, so can you!
We believe support is the KEY to weight loss success. Feeling like you’re not alone, like you have an army of supporters behind you cheering you on and picking you up. Seriously. This losing weight business is not easy. Heck, it’s hard. But when you have support, and you’re having fun with other people, it really does suck a little bit less. We’ll be here to support you, and you and you, and YOU will become part of our army of supporters. Between Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, and this site, we’re all over the place ready to give you a high five when you need it!
So that’s it in a nutshell. Over the next two weeks it’s your job to ENJOY the holidays. But we also want you to spend a little time thinking about your goals for 2014. Set up a blog, or purchase a pretty journal. Prepare yourself mentally. Get your pantry and fridge in order – ditch all of your trigger foods and stock up on fruits and vegetables. Plan ahead and you will succeed!
