Hi gang. It’s that time of week again where we go about the business of celebrating our own accomplishments and pat ourselves on the back.

What have you been up to lately that you want to shout from the rooftops, tell the world about or even whisper to just one other person? Pretend that person is me.

My creativity tank is low today. This morning, I attended the funeral of  a 27-year-old woman who fought a good fight against an inoperable brain tumor. I never met her, but I am a new friend to her mother and so I wanted to go and pay my respects.  Her father, in speaking before a church filled to capacity, said she had mastered the art of making friends feel like family and family feel like friends. What a gift. We all can strive to give more, live more, love more, love bigger, deeper, harder. That is how this young woman lived her life.  That is the kind of message I would like to shout from the rooftop today.

As you go about your workouts., and your healthy food prep, and the ever-present app-logging of activity and food choices, let’s remember that deep down, at the end of the day, regardless of the number on your scale or the amount of protein in your fridge, how we love and live and CONNECT to other people is what makes us feel our healthiest.

I did do three strength training workouts this past week, where typically one is unheard of. I’ll toot my horn for that. And for sticking to an online personal training program I recently signed up for (and which I hope to write about in the future).

What have you been up to lately? Fitness related or non-fitness related, what has lifted your spirits? Let’s connect.
