Wednesday Check-in + the Drop One Challenge Update

0

Hello once again, Shrinkers once and all ! How is everyone?  How did you all do this week? Go get on that scale and hurry on up, why dontcha? We are all eager to hear how you did this past week!

You will remember that last week, I wrote about the Drop One Challenge.  This was a mission to focus on losing one pound since the previous week’s check in.   When you are on a health and fitness journey, it is easy to feel overwhelmed when you start thinking about the “big picture.”

We are trying to spend some time breaking things down a bit.  One pound at a time. If you were to lose one pound a week, you’d be down 4 lbs in a month and 48 in a year – 48 pounds! I certainly would be happy with that. We all get to where we are going by taking one step at a time, one day at a time, one pound at a time.

All week long I kept thinking about the Drop One Challenge. I also increased my water intake, packed my lunches and planned my breakfasts the night before. I have gone on walks of various lengths every single day and in fact, am proud to say that I have passed 10,000 steps on my Fitbit every day in July so far. We took an impromptu trip over the weekend and I made sure we got a lot of walking in and that I kept my summer cocktails to a decent level. All of it paid off. I was exactly one pound less when  I weighed in for this week as I was last time. I am going to focus on that same thing for the week ahead.

I had many people write in the comments last week that they were joining me in the Drop One Challenge. How did you do? I can’t wait to hear from you. If you made it, great! If not, how about we keep this up for at least another week. Another week of focusing on ONE pound. I am down with that!

Looking forward to hearing from you in the comments!
