Your New Year’s Resolutions are probably a distant memory by now, so we are kicking the Back to YOU challenge off with School Year’s Resolutions! What do you hope to accomplish during the month of September? What about over the entire course of the school year? Do you want to lose 5 lbs? 30 lbs? Eat clean? Run a mile? A half-marathon? De-clutter your house? Whatever your resolutions may be, make sure you set goals that are attainable and realistic. Write out the steps you need to take to achieve each goal. We are kicking off a new round of Couch-to-5K for all you wannabe runners–both newbies and those needing to start over– beginning this Sunday. For 9 weeks, we will train together following the C25K program, and at the end of the program we can all run The Great Pumpkin Dash Virtual Race. TOGETHER! Keep reading for all the details!

C25K + Strength & Abs

We’ve shipped the kids back to school, and now it’s time to celebrate with a dance party! Or more like a CIZE party! This new workout featuring Shawn T promises to teach us impressive dance moves while strengthening our bodies and giving us a mad cardio workout! Bonus: It can be done in the comfort of your own home. I’ve still got three kids 3 and under at home with me, so this is perfect! Christy and I are starting on the 1st of September–are you with us? We will be sure and tell you our thoughts and check-in a few times a week on our Sisterhood Facebook page! I’ll even post videos of my sweet moves. Kidding. Nobody needs to see that!
Since 2011, we’ve put on 12 fantastic semi-annual-ish virtual races for our readers, and our newest race in our Run The ‘Hood series was just launched this week!
The Great Pumpkin Dash, a Halloween virtual 5K, 10K, & 1-Mile Fun Run, is happening on Saturday, October 31, 2015. Halloween races have always been our favorites (and yours, too!) with themes and designs, and this year won’t be a disappointment. We promise!
Each race we choose a charity to benefit, and this race we’re giving 15% of proceeds to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
It’s time to get registered and lace up your shoes so you can start training for our SPOOKTACULAR race. Whether you’re a runner or a walker–or somewhere in between–this race is for you! Big or small, we’ll have a shirt to cover your back and a sweet finisher’s medal to grace your neck.
