My preferred time to run is right before the sun rises OR right before it sets. However, there have been several instances where I’ve been caught out and about when it’s still dark or still running after it gets dark. Anyone that has run in the dark will tell you it’s hard to see where your going in the dark (duh!) and more importantly, it’s difficult for cars on the road to see YOU when it’s dark.
Enter the Night Runner 270, also known as shoe lights, or headlights for your running shoes.
Now, there are many cool products out there for runners and others committed to fitness, BUT I think this just might be one of the coolest ones!
Night Runner 270 Features:
- Come as a pair
- Affixes to your shoelaces with multiple positions
- Guarantees 270 degrees of visibility up to 30 meters
- Distinctive red tail lights
- Comes with USB cable to recharge the lights (that means NO batteries- YAY!) and a charge lasts 4 to 8 hours
- Water resistant
- Retail for $59.95 (totally worth it)
This is what comes in the box.
It took me 10 minutes to charge the pair the first time- 10 MINUTES.
You turn on the lights with the push of a button- first click for low beams, second click for high beams, third clicks for flashing, and fourth click to turn off.
This is what it looks like when you’re running down the road (or walking or hiking, etc).
Ad you can hear at the end of the second video, my girlfriend and I are gushing about *HOW COOL* this product is, and IT IS. If you’re a runner, or a walker or even a cyclist that works out at a time of time when it’s dark or almost dark, then I strongly encourage you to look into the Night Runner 270– too many accidents happen because the driver of the car *just didn’t see you in the dark*. As always, practice other safety measures if exercising when the sun is down.
In short, I LOVED the Night Runner 270- great idea, great product.
And we’re giving away a pair to ONE reader! Enter through Rafflecopter….
