<p>Guess what!!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s Wednesday, guys! Time to weigh in. You didn&#8217;t think we were going to leave you hanging did you?</p>
<p>Just because we are between challenges doesn&#8217;t mean it&#8217;s time to rest on your laurels! We&#8217;ve got three weigh ins before the next official challenge starts so let&#8217;s get to work!</p>
<p>You&#8217;s got to have goals, people!</p>
<p>So, what&#8217;s it going to be? How are you going to spend the next three weeks?</p>
<p>Are you going to flounder away because there is no official challenge?</p>
<p>Or are you going to set yourself a mini goal and continue toward your bigger goal of HEALTH?</p>
<p>So. First things first. If you&#8217;re a weigher, go get on that scale.</p>
<p>Secondly, set some goals. Three weeks is plenty of time to get something D-O-N-E, done!</p>
<p>Thirdly, blog about it. Let us know how it went this week. Let us know what your goals are. Let us know what you had for lunch yesterday. Let us know if you have a pet!</p>

Is it just me or did the first week of this challenge fly by?  Maybe it&#8217;s because I was super busy or because I&#8217;m just getting older.  It just seems like the older I get, the faster time goes.  Whatever the reason, I can&#8217;t believe it is time for our first weigh in.  </p>
<p>We have so much going on at the Sisterhood right now&#8230;.</p>
<p>1.  Did you do your motivation board?  It&#8217;s not too late, if you didn&#8217;t.  Get your board done and post your link <a href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2012/03/spring-in2-action-your-motivation-board/">here</a>.  While you are there. check out some of the other boards.</p>
<p>2.  Are you all signed up for &#8220;Run the Hood&#8221;?  I had so much fun when we did the last one.  I think there were ten of us on my team. <p>Good Wednesday morning lovely people! How are you? Me? I&#8217;m sore as&#8230;&#8230;shhhhhh, don&#8217;t tell anyone! After taking THREE weeks off from boot camp, for no good reason other than I just didn&#8217;t feel like going, I had family in town, and my trainer was out of town, I returned yesterday. I&#8217;m sure you can imagine how I&#8217;m feeling.</p>
<p>Like I got caught red-handed in a dark alley with a jelly donut by Jillian Michaels.</p>
<p>I am SORE.</p>
<p>Taking three weeks off from exercise is never a good idea, nor is there any excuse for it (unless you just had a baby, or have broken every bone in your body). Taking that much time off only leads to other bad habits like: ice cream sundaes too often, excessive sitting, drinking lots of beer, water avoidance, and weight gain. A downright abomination, not unlike Peyton Manning leaving the Colts (but, yay for Denver). Oy.</p>
<p>Enough about me already. How are YOU doing? *side -_- eyes* It&#8217;s not a challenge week, but we want to hear all about your scale successes and non-scale victories! Tell us how you&#8217;re doing, AND GEAR UP, because have an <em><strong>awesome new challenge</strong></em> starting up <strong>NEXT WEDNESDAY</strong>! <p>Are you doing <a href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2012/03/six-pack-march/" target="_blank">Six Pack March</a> with us? If you aren&#8217;t, you really should be. It is awesome. It&#8217;s the first thing I do in the morning. I do it first thing so I have no excuses to not do it later in the day. It works for me that way.</p>
<p>The Shrinking Jeans staff is diligently working on the next challenge. We&#8217;ll be letting you know about it soon. I can promise that it is going to be great and you are going to love it.</p>
<p>Would you like to hear some really exciting news? We will be announcing the date for the next <strong>Run the Hood 5k</strong> in the near future. Did you run/walk last time? I did and I had a fantastic time. Start thinking about all the people that you can recruit to do the 5k with you. The more the merrier.</p>

Good morning shrinkers!  If my calendar is right, today is Wednesday and that means it&#8217;s a weigh in day.  It might be a check in day, if you are one of those lucky people who are already at your goal weight.</p>
<p>It is hard to believe that there are only two weeks left in this challenge.  Time is flying by.  How are you doing?  Have you hit your stride and moving right along or have you hit a few bumps in the road?  I think my journey this week could most easily be called a bumpy stride.  </p>
<p>I hope that you are still working with us in the <a href="http://thehood.shrinkingjeans.net/group/52-small-changes-one-year-to-a-happier-healthier-y/forum/topics/week-7-keep-the-outside-out">52 Small Changes </a>/ One Year to a Happier and Healthier You.  I am really enjoying this challenge.  We are already on week 7 and moving right along.  I am trying to keep up with the previous weeks as we move in to the new weeks.  I can imagine that this could get tricky the further along we get.</p>

<h2><strong>The Weigh In</strong></h2>
<p>Happy Wednesday, Shrinkers!!  Wow, here we are in February already!  How is that even possible?!  It seems like just a week or so ago that it was the start of the New Year and our first challenge of 2012!  So far, we&#8217;ve completed four full weeks of the challenge which means it&#8217;s time for another weekly check-in!</p>
<p>As for me, I&#8217;ve been doing pretty well considering I&#8217;m nursing a bum knee which makes exercise extremely difficult.  I&#8217;ll be having laparoscopic surgery on it fairly soon, so hopefully I&#8217;ll be able to get back to my workouts in the near future once I&#8217;ve recovered.  Even with the decreased exercise, I still managed to rid myself of 5.6 pounds in January.  Thank you <a href="http://www.weightwatchers.com" target="_blank">Weight Watchers</a> and GO ME!!</p>
<p>So, how about you? Have you been rockin&#8217; it and shrinking yo&#8217;self?  If you have, well done!!  Keep up the great work! If not, never fear.  There&#8217;s still plenty of time to jump back on track and see progress before the end of our challenge on Feb. 29.</p>

<p>Have you joined us for the <a href="http://thehood.shrinkingjeans.net/group/52-small-changes-one-year-to-a-happier-healthier-y" target="_blank">52 Small Changes challenge</a>? Week 5 is all about being positive and <a href="http://thehood.shrinkingjeans.net/group/52-small-changes-one-year-to-a-happier-healthier-y/forum/topics/week-5-see-the-glass-as-half-full" target="_blank">seeing the glass half full</a>.  This is a principle I learned as a child from my Gran that I&#8217;ve tried to embrace throughout my life.  It&#8217;s definitely not always easy, but just like when we work out our muscles through exercise, being positive is also something you can get better at the more you exercise that &#8220;muscle&#8221; in your daily life, too. Give it a try!</p>

So, let&#8217;s get that out of the way first, how was Christmas for everyone?! How were your holiday meals? I confess that I ate a little more than normal. But I did only stick with one dessert rather than sample all of them.</p>
<p>The 25th marked that last day of <a href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2011/11/o-fitness-tree-25-days-of-exercise/">O, Fitness Tree-25 Days of Exercise</a>. Did you get your 25 days in? Was it hard to squeeze in that little bit of exercise this time of year? Or did it help you keep from going overboard with everything?</p>
<p>Also, how did you do with the <a href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2011/11/10k-a-day-challenge/">10K A Day Challenge</a>? Did you get those 10,000 steps in?</p>

<p>How did everyone do this week? Is our current <a title="10KaDay Challenge" href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2011/11/10k-a-day-challenge/" target="_blank">10KaDay</a> challenge helping you in your weight loss efforts? Last night on The Biggest Loser, I heard them say that people used to get around 14,000 steps a day, but now we are down to around 3,000. That&#8217;s just crazy! Strap on those pedometers, folks, and get yourself moving!</p>
<p>You know what&#8217;s really been helping me? The <a title="25 Days of Fitness" href="http://shrinkingjeans.net/2011/11/o-fitness-tree-25-days-of-exercise/" target="_blank">O Fitness Tree</a>. My six year old daughter is doing the challenge with me and she is usually the one that says &#8220;Mommy, is it time to do some fitness yet so I can get a sticker?&#8221; Or, &#8220;Mommy, don&#8217;t forget that you still have to go for a run!&#8221; She&#8217;s really been keeping me on my toes.</p>
