Weight loss is nothing new to Lisa since she’s been trying to lose the same 20 pounds for about 10 years. Lisa is mother to Sophie (age 8), Sam (6), and Little Anthony (3.5). Lisa has bitched and complained about losing weight for the last 15 years- first, she needed to lose 5 pounds, then 10 pounds, then 15 pounds….but she never did anything about it.
Lisa first found success with a 25 lb weight loss utilizing the Weight Watchers program after baby #1. She found weight loss once again after baby #2 with the help of an intense exercise regimen that included 5-6 days of hitting the gym. After baby #3, she found the support and motivation she needed to lose the baby weight through the community of The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans.
Since joining the ‘Hood, in Fall 2008, Lisa has become a runner and a duathlete, competing in a few 5K’s, a few 10K’s, and four half marathons. She has also competed in one duathlon and a mud run. She now finds immense satisfaction helping new runners find their running groove- no matter their pace. She loves to Zumba, swim, and bike and lift weights when she isn’t running.
Lisa turned 40 in 2012 and is in a constant quest to find love and acceptance with her beautiful body, embracing what life has given her.
She feels in the best shape of her life….although she could still lose about 10lbs!
