Fall is scratching at the door and registration is open for our next Run The ‘Hood virtual 5K, 10K, and 1-Mile fun run! This time the race has gone to the dogs, and we’re inviting your four-legged friends to join in the fun in our first ever Turkey Trot and Mutt Strut!
Get Sparky up to speed with some training, and let her strut her stuff in style with a sweet especially-for-dogs dog-tag style race medal!
Race registration includes a fluffy-soft tri-blend tee (women size UP!) and a custom race medal. And as an added bonus, you can also purchase a medal for man’s best friend. One-hundred percent of the proceeds from dog medal sales will benefit Love-A-Bull, a charity promoting responsible guardianship and improving the image and lives of pit bull type dogs through education, advocacy, and rescue.
We promise your dogs won’t be barking when you get done if you opt for the 1-Mile fun run, but if you go for the 5K or 10K distance, we can’t make any promises.

Race day is upon us! Are you ready to Chase the Sun? It’s show time, racers! Throw on your race tee, lace up your shoes and head out on your pre-planned course for your mile, 3.1 or 6.2! Whichever event you are doing, make sure you take photos and post them to our Facebook page! We want to see your Chasing the Sun shots! Once you have finished your run or walk, check-in with your time on the form on our Run the ‘Hood Race Central page. Race results will be published on here the week following race day!
