Looking Ahead | Melissa


I’ve been thinking hard about what I want out of myself for 2009. Here’s my list:

1. Embrace my 30s. (Do I have a choice?!) I do, however, have a choice about how I embrace this new decade in my life. I plan to have a good attitude about the whole aging deal and in turn, good things will happen!

2. Lose weight. How I long for the year when this does not make my list! (Which will be next year, you just wait!) I still want to lose approximately 60 pounds this year. This will happen thanks to the support of the fabulous community at The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans.

3. Eat healthy. I want to learn how to listen to body and eat the foods I need, not want.

4. Exercise. Continue my quest on getting fit and trying new activities and machines.

5. Have a positive attitude. I am going to try to look at the brighter side of things and quit worrying about the things I cannot change.

6. Enjoy my family. I am going to try to have more patience and not get so annoyed by all the annoying little things they do. Hah.

7. Appreciate the little things. The giggles, the stickles, the gestures…

8. Advance my photography skills. Practice, practice, practice.

9. Spend more time focusing on my friends. I am terrible at keeping in touch via phone. I should really work on that. I hope they don’t take it personally. )
