Today I feel great! I’ve been counting and logging every single point since Wednesday and it feels empowering to know exactly what I’m consuming!! I’m also more aware of my fruit/vegetable intake as well as my dairy. I’ve always been pretty good with my veggies, but I fail on dairy. I love milk and cheese and yogurt, but I often pass them up because I just don’t want to spend the points. They just don’t seem filling to me. I know I need the calcium though, so I’m making a point to get at least 2-3 servings daily.

I’ve spent alot of time reflecting on the past few years. I started this weightloss journey in January of 2006. That year, I lost 48 pounds! WOW! I went from 193 to 145! While 145 wasn’t my final goal, I took some time off and maintained that weight for 6 months, until March of 2007 when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter. Then I gained, but I gained a healthy amount. After she was born, I lost the baby weight and I realized I needed to keep on losing so I could get to my ultimate goal. It’s really all about your mindset, and I have the right mindset now.

A healthy weight for me is 125. To be honest, I can’t remember the last time I weighed 125. I’ve had a little bit of a weight problem for most of my life. I was always 15-20 pounds over where I needed to be. Probably since middle school. But that another post for another day.

So my ultimate goal is 125, and I’m 26 pounds away from that. I lost 48 before, so I know I can do it.

I can do it!

I’ve added these photos to our Flickr account, but I wanted to put them on here as well.
