The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC – Eating Right Because Our Jeans Are Too Tight

Wow, it sure looks empty in here. Does anyone else hear an echo?

So, some of you already know me.  Some of you may not, so I’ll take some time to introduce myself.  :o)

So, um, hi…I’m April!  If you would have said six months ago I would be blogging regularly, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.  I was more of a lurker, to be honest.  So, to be here writing for a blog that I love so much and with such awesome people is beyond amazing to me!

As an update to my Success Story, I’ve now lost 62 lbs. and am only 14lbs away from my goal weight.. I can’t even tell you how excited this makes me!  Eons ago when I first started this crazy awesome journey, I never thought I would see the day when I only have 14 lbs to go.  Yet here I stand.  (Technically, I’m sitting. On the couch.)

I hope you don’t mind or that this doesn’t sound like bragging, but I want to give you a few facts here:

  • When I first started, I was comfortably in a size 18/19 jeans.  I now am in a loose 10.
  • I’ve lost a little over 30% of my body weight.
  • My shirt size has gone from a tight fitting XL to a M in most things, and I can wear a men’s S in T-shirts.  (This makes me very excited since I love me some T-shirts!)
  • I have lost a total of 29.5 inches.  (This was as of about six weeks ago.  I’m not a big fan of taking measurements, but I know some of you like this fact.)
  • I still have bad days/weeks.  Sometimes I have them often.  But I’m lucky to have friends that will kick my ass into gear if need be.

There is a reason why I wanted to tell you these things.  Yes, I’m proud of these things and I know that this time, I’m in it for that long haul.  My life is different now.  I don’t diet, I live healthily.  It’s as simple as that.  But I wanted to tell you these because I know what it’s like.  I’ve been there.  I’m still there.  So, if you’re down, or just not sure that you can do this, let me tell you that YOU CAN.

I am probably one of the laziest people I know.  Well, okay, maybe lazy isn’t the best of words, but I sure do procrastinate a lot.  I sometimes think that I like to procrastinate.  (You know just to give myself a challenge.)  I was a big, “I can always start on Monday” girl.  I know that if I can lose weight, YOU can, too!  Let today be your “Monday”, take things day by day, and just do it!

I guess that’s it for now.  If there is anything you’d like to know about me or my journey, just ask!
