HOLY WOW is this challenge going to be a blast! My tribe, Tribe NERO, is completely awesome. I think each one of our members is great, and I’m so excited to get to know them better over the next 7 weeks.

Here are my tribemates:

I normally try to set some goals for myself at the beginning of a new challenge, and this time will be no different. I’ve really been struggling with my calories over the past 2 weeks. Yes, I’ve been counting them, but since I started counting and doing boot camp, my weight has been at a stand still. It’s very perplexing to me. During the Down & Dirty Challenge I successfully lost 3.6 pounds over 30 days, and all I did was eat intuitively and run. This next week I’m going to figure out if I just need to ditch calorie counting and simply journal what I eat. I have a feeling that I might not be eating enough. Who knows?! Today at boot camp I’m going to talk to my personal trainer and see what she thinks!

On the boot camp front…. I LOVE IT. Hands down love, love, love it. On the days I have boot camp, I am energized for the entire day. It’s like I’m high on life, and it feels so good. One of the other ladies that goes with me told me she felt the same. It’s amazing what getting your heart rate up and sweating tons will do for you!

My plans for the next 7 week include:

  • Boot camp on Wednesday and Friday.
  • Running to train for my 1/2 marathon on Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
  • Resting from exercise on Saturday and Monday.
  • I do plan to continue counting calories, or at least journaling my intake.
  • Drink lots and lots of water.
  • Continue to eliminate trans-fats from my diet. I’ve been almost 100% successful with this! Did you know that even if the label says 0 Trans Fats, that’s not always true? You should check the ingredients and look for hydrogenated-anything. That’s the bad stuff, and as long as it’s less than 1 gram per serving, they can claim it to be free of trans-fats. Yo!

Okay now for my numbers!!

Challenge start weight: 139.4

And because we decided that we’re going to be eligible for the awesome prizes for the Ultimate Shrinkvivor, all of us Sisterhood writers will be posting a picture of our scales. Just to keep things honest.

Yeah, I know it’s sideways, but I don’t have time to fix it! Off to Boot Camp! Have a wonderful day
