Shrinkvivor Weighin Week 3 – The Shrinking Jeans of Christy

I’m just going to put it out there. I’m up this week. When you’re trying to LOSE, being UP sucks. I did get some amazing news this morning, and it almost (but not quite) erases the gain from my mind.

You know I’ve been doing bootcamp right? For 5 weeks now, I’ve attended bootcamp 2x a week in addition to my 1/2 marathon training. Let me tell you that bootcamp has done for me what running never did. I am losing inches and more importantly BODY FAT. Yes, I’ve lost a ton of body fat in the past 5 weeks, and I’m building some serious lean muscle mass!

Today my personal trainer, Wende, re-measured and pinched my skin with her calipers. She was able to tell me on the spot that I’d lost 3 3/4″ from all my measurements! AND she just emailed me to tell me I’ve lost 5% of my body fat! WOW! I went from 32.6% body fat to 27.6% in 5 weeks. Amazing.

So even though the scale number went up this week, I’m still down for the challenge, and the other numbers really show that I’m moving in the right direction. DOWN.

I couldn’t be happier!

I’ve been doing great with my water intake, I’ve been doing pretty well with my fruits and veggies, and I’m still fast food free! All successes!

Change since start: -2.4 pounds!

I want to give a HUGE shout out to my awesome Tribe Nero girls. We have really formed an amazing bond, and I don’t know how I’d get through the day sometimes without their support! Rae, Colleen, Tina, and Lori are AWESOME!!!!
