Welcome to this week’s edition of the Editors’ Weekly Round-up! I’ve found some great things to share with you this week, so get ready to start clicking!
You know who Fitarella is right? She is Jacqueline Carly and she has launched her own show on the Pulse Network called Fitarella TV. It’s ‘a Rockin’, Fun, Passionate show focused on helping YOU live your fairytale! From food to sex, FitarellaTV is the go to show on women’s health. No topic is off limits!’ You really need to check it out because she recently interviewed another one of our favorite fitness mentors: Carla Birnberg aka MizFit! Jacq recently shared a wonderful series on Eating Disorders with the Sisterhood, and you can find Part 1 here, Part 2 here, and Part 3 here.
And since I mentioned MizFit, she has some awesome things to say about why you should exercise less. Yes, LESS!! The high-intensity interval training is EXACTLY what I do in bootcamp 2 days a week. My trainer calls it burst training and it’s amazing. We combine intense sprints with short bursts of circuit strengthening and toning. I have lost 5% points of my body fat (from 32.6% to 27.6%) since I started burst training. I also notice huge improvements in my running because of the strength I’ve gained.
Being that this is Taste of the Sisterhood month, I want to point you right on over to Mom Central’s Food Blog. In case you didn’t know, our very own Lisa has contributed numerous fabulous recipes over there. Most of them healthy and all of them tasty, not to mention beautiful!
