Try It Thursday – The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC

I was racking my brain the last few days over what I could ask you guys to *try*. Try a new fitness class? Try a new recipe? Try a new food? Try a new techno gizmo or gadget? While those are all good ideas, none of them spoke to my heart or really captured my attention. I felt lukewarm about those ideas.

Brainstorming new post ideas can be really really hard, ya’ll.

Then, I thought to myself, what would I like to try that won’t bore the rest of you to tears?

It came to me like a lightening bolt out of the sky.

Sometimes I am guilty of purchasing something related to my weight-loss/healthy living  journey that I then never in turn use.  The miracle balls?  Nope, not really.  The resistance bands?  Used once or twice.  The Nike Free running shoes?  Used for the first time just a few days ago after owning them for over 5 weeks and I’m still too scared to wear them more often.

I am guilty of buying shit that look so appealing and right for me at that moment and then when I get home, I shove the item somewhere while life takes over and I forget about said item until I discover it weeks months later.

I’m sure I am the only one who does this, right?  I will be really embarrassed if I am the only one who does this.

So this is what I want you to do this week.  I want you to TRY that thing that you bought way back when and never used.  Whether it’s a fitness DVD, new workout clothes, a book that you’ve been meaning to read, or a gadget that you just haven’t made time to learn- this is the week where you will TRY IT OUT.

Myself included.  I already know exactly what I will be trying out.

After you try that *thing* out, I want you to come back here and post about it (and the results/your thoughts) in the comments below.  Have fun!!!!
