Have you ever really paid attention to the way you talk to yourself?
Now, compare that to the way you talk to your kids or your friends.
I would venture to guess that there is a big difference between the two.
If your friend had a less than ideal workout, would you tell them that they suck and that they might as well just give up?
If your child missed a goal or a basket or whatever, would you tell them that they should just quit?
Or would you tell them to keep going? To do their best? That doing their best is all that matters?
Now when is the last time you treated yourself with that same kind of attitude?
If you beat yourself up, STOP!!
What you are doing to save yourself from a life of sickness is AMAZING!
YOU ARE AMAZING!
The next time you feel like beating yourself up, remember that you are amazing. You made a choice to stop the cycle of overeating or lying on the couch or insertbadhabithere. You are doing something to change your life.
Isn’t that worthy of some praise?
What have you done lately to praise yourself for your efforts?
