Couch to 5K Virtual Program


Here we go again with the Couch to 5K Virtual Program.

So you wanna be a runner but have no idea where to start?

You watched us from the sidelines back in January and February as women who had never run before took on the challenge of building endurance and slashing mental hurdles to achieve their goals.  You wondered if you had the fortitude to do it.  You may have also thought- Nope, I can’t do it, I’m not a runner.  You wondered why people fell off the bandwagon week after week- was it really that hard?  You saw check-ins from a faithful few.  You saw them ask questions about form and weather and the fear of failure.  You also saw comments and blog posts about joy, amazement and happiness that yes, indeed *I can run for 20 minutes without stopping and I. did. not die.*.

Is that you?

Do YOU want to be a runner?

Do YOU want to give your hand a whirl at the Couch to 5K Virtual Program?

Do YOU have what it takes?

I will tell you that it is not easy.  Lots of folks raise their hand high in the air at first and say *Me, me, me- I’ll do it*, BUT it is not easy.  Becoming a runner takes discipline, commitment and mental strength.  You have to believe that you can achieve……and YOU CAN.

Throughout the next 9 weeks, I will have various posts about all things running, member story highlights from those who are already runners and those who are participating in the C25K program, and lots of virtual high-fives.


Now the question is- DO YOU WANT TO DO THIS?

Week 1 Day 1 of Couch to 5K will begin this Sunday (although you can choose to do your first run on Saturday or Monday- whatever works for your schedule) and lasts 9 weeks with three runs per week.  This program will is timed to end right before our Foxy 5K/10K Virtual Race.
