I started writing for Shrinking Jeans in January 2009. I am quickly approaching my 4 5 year anniversary with this lovely group. I thought it might be fun to play *that was then, this is now*!
2009: I weighed 188 lbs
2013: I weigh 163.4 lbs
2009: I had a 4 month old, 2.5 year old and 5 year old.
2013: I have a 5 year old, 7.5 year old and 10 year old.
2009: I did not exercise unless you count changing diapers, potty training, cutting kid food and chasing the middle child on the playground….exercise.
2013: I regularly exercise 4-5 times a week. It is a part of my life and one I am not willing to give up.
2009: I was not a runner. In fact, I hated running with every fiber of my being. I left the running to my husband, who had been a runner ever since I met him in 1994.
2013: I am a runner. Plain and simple. I have some of you fine folks to convincing me to do Couch to 5K oh so long ago.
2009: If you had told me that I would become a runner and go on to run half marathons multiple times, I would have laughed in your face and told you to stop being crazy.
2013: I have run 6 half marathons since 2010.
2009: I hated having pictures taken of me. My face was round and heavy, I was thick all over and I just didn’t like the way I looked at all.
2013: I love having my picture taken : ).
2009: Although a writer for this site, I looked to all of you to lift me up, encourage me, support me.
2013: I do that for others now.
2009: I was tired, impatient, and overwhelmed.
2013: I am strong.
