I am sooooo excited to show you all another awesome company that will be making their appearance in our 2013 Holiday Gift Guide – One More Mile! As their website says, “One More Mile makes it funner to be a runner”. Their site is chock full of funny and inspirational items – from shirts and magnets to hats and key chains, all with great slogans ready to choose from – or if you prefer, you can have items made with your own sayings. They very generously sent me 3 items to review for you and I think you’ll love them all as much as I do. *disclaimer – OneMoreMile.net provided these items to me free of charge but as always, the opinions are all my own*
First off, how cute is this packaging with the hand-written note? Adorable! There’s also a magnet stuck on under the note which is such a nice touch.
I received the following items: a Women’s MicroKnit Long Sleeve V-neck shirt, a pair of arm warmers, and a pair of slogan gloves.
I’ll start with the gloves – to be honest, I haven’t tried them yet. It hasn’t been cold enough here and I rarely run with gloves anyway. They definitely seem like they will be warm enough and who can resist all the fun slogans! At $2.99, they are also inexpensive enough to buy multiple pairs.
The arm warmers are simply awesome. They come in one size (small/medium) and they fit me pretty well. The right sleeve contains a slogan (WTF – Where’s the Finish cracks me up – my daughter has this on a fuel belt and it’s what I chose for my sleeves) and the left sleeve says One More Mile. I like wearing arm warmers during the fall and spring seasons because I almost always get plenty warm a mile into my run. These are easy to slide down and I’ve even taken my sleeves off and tied them around my fuel belt when I haven’t wanted them on my wrists.
Now for the MicroKnit long sleeve. If you know me at all, the slogan I chose will not surprise you in the least
because I’m a total bling whore. This shirt feels like butter against the skin. It’s a great wicking material and extremely lightweight. I love the v-neck style and prefer it over crew necks most of the time. Since I have a couple of shirts from One More Mile in their Diamond Knit and the size mediums fit me well, I went with a medium in this shirt too (I’m a small or medium in pretty much all of my shirts). I should’ve ordered a small in this one. In my opinion, this shirt runs big. The arms are very loose at the top and it’s also pretty loose across my chest. Not a big deal if you prefer your shirts to fit a little roomier, but I like my running tops to fit closer to my body. I might need to order a sleeveless shirt with this slogan for my next race. It describes me so well 🙂
There you have it folks, 3 great items from One More Mile that will be featured in our upcoming gift guide! Go check them out here and let me know what slogan you’d put on your shirt.
