It’s been a little while since I’ve been excited for a Toot Your Horn Tuesday, but I am excited this week. It feels good to want to tell you all something good that I’ve done.
I walked the Shamrock Shuffle with a friend from high school. It was my first walk outside in many months. It was cold, but sunny and we had a great time together catching up. We finished in 53 minutes. Not my best 5k time, but I’m okay with it. It’s my first walk of the year. It will get faster as it gets warmer and I can get outside again regularly. It felt good to use Charity Miles again too.
My big toot this week though is something I’m even more excited about. When I weighed myself for the first weigh in of the new challenge on Wednesday, I had lost 3.2 pounds. To make that even better, I jumped on the scale yesterday morning and I had lost another 2.9 pounds. I’m pretty sure that this is due to the fact that I gave up pop and Bacardi for lent and I think that is kicking in. Whatever the reason, I’m excited about it!
So…how about you? What have you done this past week that you are excited about? Tell us all about it in the comments. I can’t wait to read how you toot your horn.
