Wednesday Check In – With a Challenge! | The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC

Good morning all you beautiful people!! This is Wednesday’s Check In post and I am throwing out a challenge for all of you!!

But first things, first! Did you hop onto the scale this morning and weigh yourself? Please check in with me in the comments and let me know how you are doing. Are you participating in the DietBet with us? How are you doing with that? I decided to sit this one out but I keep hearing great things about how well everyone is doing! Did the holiday weekend send you spiraling? Or did you rock this weekend? I want to know all about your progress this week!! One of the ways I stay focused is I weigh myself every Wednesday morning and I usually snap a picture of the scale. That way I can see how I am doing over time and I can watch the numbers going down weekly. It’s a great way to stay accountable and check in with myself and everyone here!

The beginning of this year was tough for me. Every week I was seeing the number on the scale go up instead of down even though I was working out consistently and trying to eat the right foods. I was frustrated and disappointed in my progress, especially since last year I was so successful at losing weight. BUT, I am now on the right path to losing again and I think I have found some solutions for me! I went sugar free in April and I have continued to stay (mostly) sugar free and I am finally losing weight and inches. When I measured Monday morning I had lost 1 1/2 inches in my waist and over 11 pounds!! It’s working for me and I’m not missing the sugar (most times).

Now it’s time for the challenge part of this post! Are you ready? It’s finally feeling like spring/summer in north Texas and based on the time of year it is I’m guessing the rest of you are beginning to thaw out from this past winter of cold and snow, so I want you to get outside and enjoy some sunshine this week!!

I know it’s hard for us in our busy world to get outside and unplug from our electronics, but I want to challenge you to do so this week! The sun is good for us (it gives us Vitamin D, as long as you aren’t out too long and get a sunburn)! Go for a walk or a run, take a picnic lunch to work and go to the park during your lunch break, or play with the kids or the dogs outside instead of just sending them out by themselves! Go lay in the grass and look at the clouds and see what you can find in the cloud shapes! Encourage your family to join you on your adventure outside, it will be good for all of you! And don’t forget to drink plenty of water while you are outside! Now that the weather has improved I have been spending hours in the morning and evening on my patio just enjoying the peace and quiet of being outside and I want the rest of you to be able to soak up the beauty of the outdoors, and possibly get something more out of it than the vitamin D!
