Where to begin, where to begin…

So, I missed weigh in yesterday.  I did have a loss and so I have officially maintained my weight range for 8 weeks now without counting a single Weight Watchers Point.

For the Spring Fling, I am proud to be a member of Team Fabulous! We’re gonna kick your butts!  LOL!

Also, the last couple of weeks, The Sisterhood sponsored the Shrinking Jeans Olympics.  I am proud to report that I brought home two medals!  I won the gold as part of a 4×1 mile relay team (35:46 combined time), and I snagged a silver in the 2 mile fast walk (26:12 time).

That’s all for now!  Happy Shrinking…or maintaining!

I feel pretty good about myself, thankyouverymuch.

Despite spending last week in Disney World (and subsequent confessions), I weigh LESS than I did two weeks ago. I seriously couldn’t ask for much more than that.

Besides doing my best to stay on top of my goals (although I had a few slip ups last week), exercise is definitely becoming a more routine part of my life. On top of the running, I’m throwing in some yoga every once in a while and I’ve also started doing the Hundred Push Ups program again.

Is it wrong to see something as a necessary evil yet kinda enjoy it all at the same time?

Another thing that has helped? I’m getting more sleep. Thanks to my husband (I should probably write a post on that), I am in bed before midnight every night now. That makes such a huge difference in how I feel every day.

Anywho, this weeks weigh in puts me at 4 weeks on my maintenance ticker (see it over there on the right? I thought a butterfly was fitting).

One month down. Eleven to go.

Bring it.

It’s Monday.  You know what that means.

  • I’ve had dessert 3 times in the past week.  Although none of them individually equaled 40 points, they probably were 40 points all together.
  • I can’t seem to get away from dessert.  I love it.
  • Sigh.
  • While I haven’t done the EA Sports Active Challenge exactly as prescribed, I do expect to finish it on Wednesday.
  • I may or may not have gotten a little overzealous when doing the Catch/Throw/Pitch portion of the workout yesterday.
  • My over zealousness may or may not have involved me getting tangled in the Wii remote.
  • I may or may not have finished the workout half bent over because I was unwilling to stop to untangle myself.
  • Here’s a tip: always remove jewelry before exercising

I’m not entirely sure how it happened, considering all the sins I confessed on Monday, but I am down another pound this week!  This puts me at 156, just 3 pounds to go until my goal!  I need to switch into high gear if I want to lose those last 3 in the next 4 weeks, though.

Another pound to the food bank!

I’m such a wuss.

I have been keeping up with my 30 Day Challenge without much pain.  Well, there’s pain, but it’s the good kind.  You know, the I-actually-worked-a-muscle-and-boy-it-felt-good pain?

And my 5k is Saturday so I’m in my last week of training, which I’ve also been keeping up with.

But you know what has me benched tonight?

My back.

My lower back has always been pretty weak and gets strained pretty easily.

You wanna know how I strained it?

Mopping the floor.

Which just proves that I should stop trying to clean my house.

30 Day Challenge Profile

Name: Thea
Age: 33
Hometown: Frederick, MD
Family: Married to Dave and Mom to Jake (6) and Emma (4)

1) Complete the following sentence –  “When I look in the mirror I see… my  mom’s stomach that won’t go away no matter how much I try.

2) What exercise do you take? What’s your current level of fitness? Currently, I am training for a 5k so I guess you could say running…although I don’t consider myself a runner by any stretch of the imagination.  I also really dig the EA Active.  I would say my currently level is moderately fit.  But who am I to judge?

3) How do you relax? Oh goodness…I don’t.  I’m really high strung and fly off the handle at a moments notice.  Things I find relaxing are the sounds of nature (crunching leaves, crickets, birds, etc.) and sitting my any body of water.

4) Do you watch your weight? I try, but sometimes I watch it climb…like recently.

5) What’s your favorite body part? My arms.  Aside from the farmer’s tan, I think I have pretty nice arms.

6) What’s your least favorite body part? The aforementioned tummy.

7) What’s your favorite way to workout? Alone.  Blissfully alone.

8) Its time to work out, we’re most likely to find you decked out in? T-shirt and shorts.  If I’m running or on the treadmill, I’ll wear shoes. But if I’m doing a DVD or Wii, I’ll go in my bare feet or socks.

9) You’re due to workout, but it’s pouring rain.  What do you do? Truthfully, not work out.  I am horrible at consistency and will find any excuse to not exercise.

10) What’s the one item you wouldn’t be without when working out? Music.

11)  What do you hope to get from the 30 Day Challenge? A good foundation for FINALLY making exercise a habit and part of my life on a regular basis.

12) What are you apprehensive about going in? Not too much.  I know I already love the EA Active Sports, I just have to, you know, DO IT!

13) How will you reward yourself after the challenge? Permission to spend money on iTunes.  I hate spending money on iTunes.

14) Complete the following sentence – “I’m Active for …” myself.  And Dave. And Jake and Emma. And Jake and Emma’s kids, should I be so blessed.
