Can something this good only have 110 calories, no fat, and 7 grams of fiber per serving? The answer is YES it can. Meet The Alternative Bagel. And because these little babies pack such a punch of fiber, they’re only 1 Weight Watchers Point! How amazing is that?

I don’t know about you, but I’m a bit of a food snob. Even when I’m dieting, I like food to taste real. Good. Not like food I would eat on a diet. So these bagels fit the bill for me. The texture is perfect, the flavor is amazing, and I don’t have to feel guilty if I eat 2!

So far, I’ve tried the Sweet Wheat and Roasted Onion. YUM! My favorite way to eat them is toasted with a Laughing Cow cheese wedge spread on them (amazingly like cream cheese!) for only 2 points! Or, if you throw on an egg, a slice of 2% cheese and a piece of turkey bacon, you have the perfect breakfast (or lunch or dinner!) sandwich. Lots of bang for little points/calorie bucks!

I’ve only been able to find them at Walmart, but I noticed that you can order them online here. Go forth and enjoy. You’re welcome

So I added a What’s Christy Eating tab to the top of my section of the blog. Go here to check it out! I’ll try to list everything I eat, everyday, with points values!

So I had to tell you about my dinner. I was so excited that I could eat so much for so few points. Barilla Pasta has a Tortelloni pasta, available in the dry pasta section of the grocery store, that’s only 4 points per serving. And it’s a good sized portion!!! I had the spinach and ricotta version tonight and my kids even gobbled it up. I paired it with Newman’s Own Sockarooni pasta sauce and some steamed veggies. Good stuff. I’m pretty full and still have points to spare today.

That’s my kind of meal!

Barilla also has lots of good info on the nutrition of pasta and some good recipes.

I just logged into Weight Watchers online for the first time since October 9, 2008. Sheesh. Talk about embarrassing. It’s a good thing Weight Watchers can’t nudge me like people on Twitter. But then again, maybe they should nudge me. Every.single.hour.

I logged my points for today (so far).

1/2 Quaker Breakfast on the Go bar – 2 pts.

1 pack of those new crispy Newton bar thingies. Okay, I’ll get the real name later. I’ll probably review them because they ROCK – 2 pts.

1 can of Campbell’s Select Harvet Light Beef with Barley soup – MY FAVE (I just dug through the trash to find the can so I could get the correct name only to realize it was still on the counter. YUCK!) – 3 pts. for the entire can. Did I mention it’s delicious?

100 cal. pack of Fudge Grasshoppers – 2 pts.

So, can you see I’m a snacker? Yup, old habits die hard. I promise to get my butt in gear and start planning meals and eating fresh, healthy things tomorrow. Today is day 1 and I’m trying to avoid shock.
