Uncovering

[ 10 ] 06/02/2008 |
.!.

In staring this weight loss journey, the “sisterhood”  here at shrinking jeans will all have a lot to uncover about ourselves. We all have stories and we all have reasons of why we are all here but all with a common goal of weight loss.

As most people know,  weight loss is often so much more than shedding a few pounds. It is about feeling and looking good while we zip up our jeans each day. It’s about becoming healthier for ourselves and our families. It’s about hacking through the emotional issues that we use as food blankets. (I’m totally an emotional eater and use food to cover up how I feel)

Well now it is time to uncover and move on with our journey, together as the sisterhood of the shrinking jeans. Speaking of uncovering… I also have to find my treadmill underneath all the clothes and dust.

You’re absolutely right, CE. Often, gaining weight has very little to do with food and more to do with feelings.

So absolutely true. I’m a bored eater. If there’s nothing to do, I eat. It’s so bad of me.

I couldn’t agree more ! it certainly isn’t our bodies needing nourishment that makes us eat a quart of ice cream :)
