Wednesday Weigh-In, Shrink Into Summer Week 2

Yo, yo, yo Sisters and Brothers! We’ve made it through the second week of the Shrink Into Summer challenge!! How do you feel? Are you shrinking yet?  Are you ready to don a bikini and hit the beach?  Maybe.  Maybe not.  Maybe never.

So much has been going on this past week here at the Sisterhood.  We have been hopping with new posts, new challenges, new recipes and new sisters.   It is so exciting, isn’t it?

Before I get to all the “reminders”, let’s get down to the business at hand.  It’s our favorite day of the week: weigh-in day.  Go jump on that scale (isn’t this fun?!) and come back and share with us how you are doing.  Leave your results in the comments and write a post on your personal blog sharing you struggles, your successes, your thoughts….ANYTHING.  Make sure to come back and leave the link, though.  We want to read all about it!

To sweeten the weigh-in pot, everyone that weighs in will automatically be entered to win a Sansa Clip MP3 player.  I have one of these myself and I absolutely love it.  My favorite features include:

  • it’s size- small and compact
  • you can “clip” it on to your shirt or shorts during workouts
  • it has good sound quality through earbuds
  • it recharges through USB cable connected to computer
  • there are easy online instructions to follow
  • you can download rockbox software from internet to make MP3 player compatible with iTunes/iPod music you already have saved
  • We will randomly choose a winner from the comments received by 11:59 PM Pacific time tonight, and announce it tomorrow.   All you have to do is WEIGH-IN in the comments section!

    Other news:

    • One More Mile is offering one lucky reader the chance to win a tank or short-sleeve shirt of their choice.  Contest is open through Friday, April 10th at 11:59pm Central. Winner will be randomly selected and announced the following day! To enter this contest, then click here.  Can you guess which shirt I have?
    • Mini Challenge #2 is currently going on right this very second.  Are you drinking enough water every day?  At the minimum, you should be consuming 8 8oz glasses of the clear stuff (water, that would be).   So fill your favorite glass, throw some ice in, and drink up!
    • Lastly, are you getting your SHRED on?  We sisters and brothers are SHREDDING the inches away with Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.  Today is Day 3.  How is it going for you?  Do your arms feel like they are going to fall off?  What about your legs?  Are you loving this exercise?  Hating it?  Loving to hate it?  Stay with us- keep on going.  Keep on doing it.  Shred your unwanted pounds away.

    • Wrong direction on the scale for me too. I am up 1.4# so I'm back where I started this challenge. I was down a pound until I went out to eat on saturday...then I started shredding and don't they say muscle weighs more than fat? That's what I'm going with...all the muscles I'm building are impeding my progress. I haven't posted on my blog yet. Too much to do this morning.

      i'm up .4lb from last week! Which normally wouldn't be such a bad thing but i've been working my tale off! C25K 3 times a week, Elliptical 2 times a week. Shredding every day since monday and off and on two weeks before then. What gives? Grrrrrr....

    • Once again no weight loss. Which I am actually thankful that there was no weight gain either. We had easter dinner this past weekend with my husbands family so I thought for sure there would be an increase in the scales. Very thankful there wasn't!!

      My current weight is 135.1

      I'm on Day 3 of the Shred, and as weird as it may sound, I love the "pain" I feel during the day. It means I'm DOING something with my body. It's not injury-pain, just "holy cow, what did Jillian do to me this morning" pain.

      I did the shred last night for the first time. Whoo-boy! My quads are on fire today! Have to remind myself to get up and walk around to loosen them up a bit. It was a good workout. Tough! I will try it again tonight.

      Don't get discouraged! You're doing an awesome job. Remember that the slower the weight comes off, the more likely it is to stay off forever. Keep doing what you're doing, because it's working!!

    • I can't even believe it, but the last week was a 11 pound weight loss. I am sure it's b/c i have so much to lose...but still. Feels incredible. And yes, the last three days of shredding totally kicked things up a notch in the weight department.

      I didn't even realize it was possible to lose this much in one week, and I was wondering for a while if wii fit was messing with my head. But as I added up all my weigh ins (I weigh in every other day or so), it totaled 11.

    • Okay, first of all.....I have finally broken my plataeu and I have lost a pound after staying steady at the same weight for weeks!! It's only a pound but it is so wonderful to see!!!

      Also, that Sansa Clip MP3??? I need so badly! My MP3 player does not have a clip or anything and I need one with a clip!! Oh how I want to win this one! :)

      Oh and my weight?! I am in the 130's!!! It may be 139 but it is in the 130's!!! LOL, can you tell I'm happy?! :)

      I weighed in at 152.6 today - down more than 2 pounds. But since I haven't eaten anything more than crackers in 24 hours, I'm pretty sure it won't stay so low. Dang stomach bug. Haven't been to the gym in like a week because this bug is slowly working it's way through the family and I insist on being one of the resposible people who only takes children to public play places when they are fully healthy.

    • The good and the bad. Bad news I am absolutely stagnant on weight. I weigh the same as I did in February! Arghhhh!

      Good news and really its awesome news: I went to buy a new Easter dress and got a size 8. When I started this I was a good size 12. Not sure about jean size but I am super excited about this new event!

      I know my body is changing but I would so love to see it in numbers on the scale!
