I asked Beckie from BornFit if she would consider doing a guest post for us and lucky for us, she agreed! Here is what she has to say:

Before my husband and I had children we hiked just about every weekend. Since the children came along we have sort of left our hiking adventures behind. Until recently we read an article in the Denver Post about hiking trails that were suitable for children. Therefore we have decided to get back on the trails with our kids even if the trails were short! Our first trail was the Lair O’ the Bear Park: Creekside Trail and Loop in Jefferson County, Colorado. The shady trail winds next to and crosses Bear Creek, it was a perfect distance for our kids. They enjoyed throwing rocks into the creek and finding never seen before wildflowers.

Before we set out on the hike, I looked up some information about the hike and came across a great website called Trails.com. lair-o-bearThe site had all types of hiking related information. You can look up trails in your area and share them on Social Media or email, which I thought is a brilliant way to share your favorite trails with friends and family. So if your are looking for a way to get active with your family try hiking. Jump on Trails.com and find an adventure in your “neck of the woods”!

Thanks, Beckie! Check out Beckie and the BornFit team here and be sure to follow them on Twitter!
