Shrinkvivor Tribal Council #1

[ 17 ] 09/16/2010 |

Welcome to our very first Shrinkvivor Tribal Council. While we didn’t really have anything to council over, we are announcing the first Physical Challenge for the Immunity Idol. The team who wins the challenge will get the Immunity Idol and will be safe from going to Exile Island at the next Tribal Council. Yo! It’s awesome.

Thanks to CLICK for being our main sponsor for the challenge, and don’t forget to check out the sweet prizes for the winners!

Questions? Check out our Shrinkvivor Answers here. **There seems to be a little confusion out there, so make sure you have read the Q & A! The tribes page has been updated as of today, the people who did not report their starting weights yesterday have been eliminated from the game. Next week, everyone please remember to submit your weights by 9 p.m. Central. If there is some unforeseen circumstance, email us before the deadline! We hate having to eliminate people! Next week when you fill-in the form, there will be a spot for you to fill in who on your tribe you are voting to Exile, BUT if for some reason one of your current tribemates doesn’t report in, they will be eliminated from the game and no one from your team will be sent to Exile that week. Make sense?**

So here you go!

**Addendum: The fitness challenge includes your mileage acquired WHILE EXERCISING. You know, like going for walks, jogs, or at the gym. It’s great if you wear a pedometer all day for your own benefit, but please do not report that total. This is actual exercise, above and beyond your everyday, ordinary stuff. A great place to log your miles is dailymile. Check it out!

The Physical Challenge starts TOMORROW at sun-up, and ends next Tuesday, September 21st at 11:59 PM PACIFIC TIME, or sun-down if ya like!

Here’s a great article on the importance of drinking water!

I wanted to let everyone about mapmyrun.com (it’s FREE!) that is how I figure out how many miles I walk/jog/run when I’m out. http://www.mapmyrun.com/

I *love* map my run…. until I moved to the country and it didn’t have some
of our roads in the newer developments. I used it all the time when I lived
    in Colorado though! -M

Does wearing a pedometer through the day count towards our milage? I like the first two challenges. These are things I can do. Go Tribe Copper!!

  • Anonymous

No…. This is other than you “typical” stuff. Like actual walks or runs or
    gym time.

Does the stairclimber/ Stairmaster count towards our miles?

Will we need to report our water numbers on the form?

  • http://www.whooosthatgirl.com Lissa_ShrinkingJeans

No. The water challenge is solely for your own benefit and not part of the immunity idol.

MILES MILES MILES… I think I can handle that. Water half my body weight? I have a feeling Im going to wind up peeing my pants. lol. I accept your challenge. Game On!!!!

Miles? I got this one! 8 miler coming up this weekend should help! Water-I shoot for 64 oz a day, but I guess I need to up that just a smidge. I might be seeing my students in the ladies room, but I’ll do my best :)

  • Tinahudgens

Just ran/walked my first PRACTICE mile. I haven’t done that in years! I am ready for tomorrow!

  • Jessicadodt

I’m sorry if I sound repetitive, I just want to clarify..this is important:)!!!

We can wear a pedometer during our “exercise portion” to track our mileage during that time. Correct? So say I can’t go outside (i.e. rain, weather, kids), but I can do a workout video, can I track my mileage by wearing a pedometer just during that video?

  • Anonymous

No. Just for walking, running, and like-minded.

Like, this morning, I went to THE TOUGHEST MUSCLE WORK CLASS ever. Burned
100+ calories in 55 minutes. But for this challenge, it counts as nothing. I
also walked 2.3 miles before hand. The 2.3 miles WILL count.

    Does this help?

  • Jessicadodt

    Perfect, thanks! I gotcha!

  • Legalady

I hate walking! I’d much rather be on my bike. I got a few miles in but it was not fun!
