Sister Spotlight:: Adah

Name: Adah
Blog: http://plainolegrandmaislosingit.wordpress.com/
Twitter: @adahbug
Age: 54
Hometown: Beautiful San Diego, CA

Tell us about your family. I have been married for 36 years to Roger. He is
my best friend. We have been through a lot in our 36 years together but I
wouldn’t want to go through life with anyone else. We have 2 wonderful
daughters (Emma and Rachel) who married 2 perfect guys (Shane and
Marty). There are 4 grandchildren who keep us busy…Jenna – 9, Lindsey –
8, Abbey – 6 and Camden – 3. We love them all!

What is your favorite workout? Walk/jog…also known as wogging on my
blog!

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment? Completing the C25K
program. I was a confirmed couch potato and that was a big deal for me.

Have you set any goals for this year? Why of course…we can’t have a
challenge without goals. Drink more water, meal planning, more exercise
like everyone else but the main goal I have it to love myself more. I have a
very hard time accepting a compliment without adding something to my
thank you! There always seems to be a BUT or an excuse. I’m really trying to
just say thanks!

Who is your best support in your healthier-living journey? This is probably
the easiest question on here….definitely my hubby!! He pushes me out of
bed to wog, he makes sure I have good food in the house to eat and is just
my all around cheerleader. I wouldn’t have made it this far without him by
my side.

Favorite songs on your iPod right now? To be honest I really don’t know
what all is on my ipod. Hubby downloaded some music and I just turn it on
to shuffle and listen. Sometimes I get really good wogging music and
sometimes I get Patsy Cline’s Crazy! I really should create a wogging list but
I’m pretty lazy about stuff like that.

Who or what inspires you? My mom…she is going to be 80 this year and
hasn’t slowed down yet. She always makes time for her 7 kids, numerous
grandkids and lots more than numerous great grandkids. I want to be just
like her when I am 80!!

Of course my family is what pushes me every day. I want to be around when I’m 80 to enjoy spending time with them.

Do you have any must-have health/beauty/clothing products? I’m pretty lowmaintenance…I don’t really have anything that I must-have. Other than lying on a beach in Hawaii with a good book and tropical drink!

Name 3 blogs you love to read! Growing up Mo (and I read a lot of those
linked to her blog), I Should Be Folding Laundry, Green Lite Bites. Hubby
would say I read way too many!

5 things we don’t already know about you!

1. I picked my hubby up in a bar. He drove my Camaro and that was
it…he was hooked!
2. I got married at the ripe old age of 18 and had 2 children by the time I
was 22.
3. I’m very adventurous. I have bungee jumped, tandem sky dived, rode
the rides at the top of the Stratosphere hotel and casino in Vegas just
to name a few. I love roller coasters and going fast.
4. I love to travel. We have been to London, Paris, Spain, Scotland,
Ireland, Caribbean, Mexico and all over the US. We love to go on
cruises and will be going to the Mediterranean Sea this fall for a 12 day
cruise. But our favorite thing to do is get in the convertible and drive.
Nothing better on a nice sunny warm day…wind blowing your hair and
singing at the top of your lungs.
5. I really dislike seafood except for tuna out of a can.
