True Confessions

The past few weeks have been above average temps where I live, and as far as my pshyche is concerned, heat can only mean one thing…

Ice Cream.

Fitbit Product Family

Bowls of ice cream. Cones of ice cream. Shakes of ice cream. Dreams of ice cream.

I try not to keep ice cream in the house all the time, but I have to admit… The pull to the frozen food aisle gets a little stronger as the temperatures soar. So far this season, I’ve been able to avoid the half gallon goodness, but this past week has seen it’s fair share of ice cream. And other stuff…

  • Bruester’s Butterfinger Blast – It’s the equivalent of a Dairy Queen Butterfinger Blizzard, which has been my long time achilles heel.
  • Dairy Queen Peanut Butter Blast – I seem to have a thing for explosives this week. This is something new (well, new to me) at Dairy Queen and I thought I’d give it a whirl. How can one go wrong with peanut butter? Answer: One can’t.
  • Ice cream at a restaurant for dessert.
  • Cookies, cookies, cookies at end of the year school functions
  • Late night snacking. MUST STOP.

Since we are on the eve of the Burst Into Summer challenge (have you signed up yet? Why not?? GO!!), I think I’m going to take these confessions and use them as a learning tool. Everyone needs goals, right? Why not make them the things you struggle with week after week?

What about you? Do you have anything to confess? Get it off your chests, my friends!

My confession? I had never in my life had an Almond Joy prior to this week. My husband bought a bag of the minis at the grocery store *for the kids*. I tried one.

More than one. It’s so bad! I don’t even want to KNOW how many ingredients are on that label! But it’s also so, SO good!

I don’t know what’s happened to me, but this is the first week that I’ve sat in front of my computer and tried to think of a bunch of confessions – and had trouble doing it!!!

Still managed to come up with a blog post about it, though..LOL

OMG! me too  – way too much ice cream!  I can go all winter without the stuff but dang last week’s heat had me craving and caving in to husband’s request. Then the damn man went and bought Ben & Jerry’s!

Put some skinny cow in the freezer then the real stuff is a little less tempting!  Good luck , the heat does me in too.

My confession:  I haven’t logged my food on My Fitness Pal since last Thursday.  I had been doing so well with it too and then one poor food choice led to another, which led to another, which led to me not tracking.

That changes today though! (even though on Twitter yesterday I said it started then, oops)

Ice cream…. Oh, my stomach hurts just thinking about it. I can’t remember the last time I had ice cream, but I’m pretty sure that I would be sick…

Ummm, I can understand your penchant for ice cream.  There can’t be a sweeter, more lovely treat especially in the heat.  But I know you’ll get past this bump in the road and see that looking and feeling wonderful are indeed sweeter, lovelier treats than ice cream.

so glad the challenge starts tomorrow….today (heck this whole week) has pretty much sucked as far as eating is concerned! I started the day with donuts and it hasn’t improved since then!
