Toot Your Horn Tuesday

Hello, Internets!

It’s my first ever ‘Toot Your Horn Tuesday’! I have to say, this is a great exercise for me. Because I’m going to have to really dig deep to find something to toot. It’s not that I’m really down on myself…it’s that I’m so exhausted lately that I can’t remember what the heck I’ve been up to!

Also, I’m sitting here giggling to myself because my four year old son has taken to telling me I ‘smell like pee pee, poop and toot’. Nice, right? Thanks, preschool. And it’s all I can do to keep a straight face.


Here’s what I’m going to toot about. Juggling.

Right now, I’m juggling Shrinking Kitchen (which I am so very proud of), taking care of my family, watching 20 month old twin girls in addition to my children and somehow, I’m keeping up. Well, for the most part. Some days the house looks a little worse for the wear. Some days I don’t get a shower.

But I’m surprisingly cool with it – I feel like I’m actually accomplishing things.

That’s most definitely toot-worthy (in my book).

    I’ll toot my horn this week.  :)  The house is actually in decent shape.  I’ve worked out 2 days in a row.  I’ve been sticking to my calories.  And yesterday I got to play in the kitchen a bit.

    I’ll toot my horn this week!  I successfully completed C25K about a month ago, and have continued running since then.  My intention has been to run three days a week for a half hour, plus a fourth “long run.”  I can’t say I haven’t missed a day, but I’ve done a pretty good job.  I even went for a run this weekend, even though it meant pushing my 2-year-old in the stroller (which I HATE) because my husband and 5-year-old were out of town.  I’m working my way up to a 10K this fall, and I’m almost starting to think I’ll be able to make it!!
