Weekly Check-In {August 8}

So, it’s Tuesday night and I am wondering how the heck it became August so quickly. I mean, life is moving at a warp speed and before you know it, I will be moving into our new house and my kids will be starting at a new school. WOWSERS!

But first, today, on this beautifully lovely Wednesday, we all need to weigh-in (or check-in) and let the rest of our fellow Sisters know how we are doing. I for one have been quite mindful of what I am eating and I have definitely kicked the exercise regimen into high gear, for several reasons. One, because I would like to lose a few pounds, specifically from the middle of my body; Two, because I am part of the Shrinking Jeans Dream Team for the Healthy Wage Weight Loss Challenge!

Talk to me, ya’ll. Let me know how it goes with your bad self. Highs and lows, pretty please….hopefully more highs than lows : ).

In other news, here are a few quick reminders

  • The Olympics! Wednesday (today) is our last day of Olympic Challenges.  It’s not too late to join in the fun- hint hint. We’ve got prizes for our Ultimate Olympian!  Don’t forget that we are hosting a Shrinking Olympics Fitness Challenge Awards Ceremony Twitter Party @ 8 p.m. Central Time and will be announcing all of the winners then.
  • Gold Medal Ass! A monthly workout calendar to make your butt deserving of it’s very own gold medal!  Have you checked this monthly workout calender out yet?  It is freaking awesome.
Allright Sisters- I’m Outta Here! Don’t forget to give me a shout-out in the comments below about how things are going in your part of the world.

    I had a crappy week with a weight gain to show for it.

    Hey Lisa, thank you for your update.

    In my part of the world, I recently conducted another quantum experiment on myself (and my weight management). I’ve posted the results on my blog and will have a follow-up to that post early next week.

    Feelings trump action. That has been proven through quantum physics and it has incredible ramifications for our weight loss!

    I have been stuck at 155 lbs for over a week. So, I turned up the workouts. I added a 27 mile rollerblading trek, which made my weight go up by three lbs. I brought my workout on my vacation. I hiked with my cousins over the Sleeping Bear sand dunes 3 miles and three hours of grueling nature’s stair master. I kayaked 25 miles along the Pine River. This dropped me 1 1/2 lbs. I know that I am pushing it and that I have shed fat, but I desperately want to meet me next goal of reaching 150 lbs. I am currently at 156 1/2 lbs. I will continue…

    I have lost weight this week despite the birthday treats that are abounding at work. The last two weeks I have been very busy and cut out exercising. Weight Gain!!! Added daily exercise back in and it is dropping. Need to keep this up. When will I learn that being busy is not an excuse and will only sabotage me.
