Cloud Watching

Do you guys ever take time out of your busy life to lay in the grass and actually watch the clouds?

Do you ever take the time out of your busy life to sit and be still and just listen to the birds chirping and the trees rustling?

We are all busy with life and responsibilities and doing the things we need to do but sometimes what we really need to do is just lay in the grass and watch the clouds pass you by. Or sit on your patio or porch in the early morning or late evening and listen to the sounds of nature? What shapes do you see most often? What sounds do you hear? What do you see?

At our local fireworks show there is a huge field that my son and I always park our blanket. We live in the suburbs of Dallas in apartments so taking a few minutes to lay on the grass and look at the clouds hasn’t really been an option except once a year at the fireworks show, before it gets overly crowded and dark.

This is the one time a year we actually kick back and truly relax and watch the clouds pass us by. I love to listen to what he sees in the shapes and I love telling him what I see as well. It’s a great time to just relax and be still for a few minutes and on the fifth of July I always feel more refreshed and relaxed.

Normally, summer is a busy time for us and this summer is no different but since I have taken 15 minutes out of my summer evening and relaxed, and taken my self through the skies’ artistry I feel that I can continue on with my schedule.

Relaxing and taking time to enjoy nature is just as important to our health and getting enough sleep! So…Have you taken 15 minutes out of your day to relax and just stare aimlessly at the clouds recently? If you haven’t, I highly recommend it!! If you have, what did you see?
