Hola Shrinkers! How are you doing this week? Did you know that Wednesday is our official weigh-in day here at the Sisterhood? All the way back to the very beginning of our site almost 6 years ago! Wanna know why? Because weighing in on Wednesday gives you a few days to recover from any faux pas that may have occurred over the weekend 😉 Yeah, we know there are bumps in the road, and that’s okay.

This morning, I was going back through some photos in my Flickr account, and I came across one of me at my lowest weight in recent years. I was in San Diego to run the Rock n Roll 1/2 marathon with Team in Training and our awesome Team Shrinking Jeans. WOW. That was in 2010, four whole years ago!

I started my weight loss journey at a high of 195 pounds back in 2005. I pretty much struggled with my weight since early childhood, and I finally go serious after my son was born and I realized I didn’t want to be a fat and unhealthy mom. I used Weight Watchers online, and lost 50 pounds in 9 months, and maintained that loss until I got pregnant with my daughter in 2007. After she was born, I lost all the weight I’d gained plus 15 pounds and I started running. Which brings me to this picture below.

(Excuse the I just woke up look, it was like 5 in the morning!)

So that was me at about 138 pounds. And today I weighed in at 162. Ouch. So like I mentioned above, sometimes shit happens and you stall out on your loss, or maybe even gain some back. The important thing is that you catch yourself. Don’t get so down that you spiral out of control and give up. If I can lose over 50 pounds, and then lose weight AGAIN, you can too. You’re worth it, and so am I.

I have already begun my weight loss after weight gain after weight loss efforts. And I will win!

This is me last week weighing in for our DietBet. Don’t laugh at my outfit, it was laundry day, and the pickins were slim.

I’ve been digging and digging for my ‘before’ picture when I started this journey back at 195 pounds, but that sucker is elusive. I’ll keep digging, and maybe share it!

So anyway, weigh-in today. Share your weight loss journey with us. Where did you start? Where are you going? What are your goals? Have you stumbled along the way and are you struggling to get your footing again?
