We are all about new hopes and goals and starting fresh right now. What better time for another giveaway from The Healthy Pantry? At The Healthy Pantry, you can find meal kits for everything from Whole Grain Banana Bread to Smoked Salmon Frittata!

Recently, I whipped up the Whole Grain Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies. I say whipped up, because they were SO EASY to make. I am not a huge fan of cooking and baking, so in my eyes, the easier, the better!

My kids gave the cookies two thumbs up and I thought they were great! Here are a few tips the CEO, Keith Lauvier, shared with me (he’s cool like that!):

1) If you prefer a chewier, thicker cookie: chill the dough for 15 minutes in a freezer and then form them into approx. 1″ rounds that are nearly 3/4″ tall. 2) If you prefer a crisper, flatter cookie: use the dough right after mixing or get it to room temp +. 3) The dough freezes great and can be cooked just fine from frozen. I typically only make 1/2 the batch and pull the rest out for a night like last night when the kids are calling for something…

4) My favorite thing is to press the dough into a pie pan (use only about 2/3 of the dough though) and just bake it till it’s slightly firm but still warm and gooey. Did I just say gooey?
