May Your Way:: New Challenge Announcement | The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans LLC


April showers bring May flowers… and a new challenge here at The Sisterhood of the Shrinking Jeans! That’s right! May 1st marks the beginning of a brand new challenge, so grab some motivation, start thinking about your goals, and begin planning for that new swimsuit you will be showing off come summertime! Why May Your Way? Because this month, it’s all about YOU. Your way, your pace. No groups, no teams. We want you to dig deep and just do it. Because, after all, we CAN do hard things. {i love that quote}

The May Your Way challenge will run Sunday, May 1st through Tuesday, May 31st. Along with the official start and end dates, we will check-in on our regular Wednesdays! We love our forms, so there will be a form for you to complete, preferably by 9 p.m. Central time. Christy and I spend Wednesday nights calculating and figuring, and we need our beauty sleep, so make sure you get your info in on time, pretty please!

You don’t have to be looking to lose weight for this challenge! Maybe you want to lose a few {or lots} of pounds, or maybe you are looking to increase your endurance and overall fitness. Whatever your goals are, you are welcome to join us! We offer laughs, support, advice, and camaraderie!

We are introducing several new features this month! We will still have our regular Thursday Leaderboards for our weighers, but will be trying out a new feature, too! The name is SisterStars! How does it work? It will be a points system and will be tallied on a weekly basis on Wednesday nights. You can earn points by doing several things:

  • Checking in by 9 p.m. Central each Wednesday!
  • Blogging about your week and linking back to us in your post! Make sure you leave the link to your blog post in the comments of the Wednesday Check-In post!
  • Grabbing one of our buttons for your sidebar!
  • Sticking to your goals each week!
  • Participating in Sisterhood Says {details below}.
  • Chiming in on SisterChat {details below}.
  • Getting up off the couch and moving and grooving during our #tworkout on Twitter Tuesday nights at 8 Central. If your muscles hurt the next day, you have April to blame.

Each Thursday afternoon, we will list the top 10 sisters (and brothers) with the highest cumulative point total. At the end of the challenge, the SisterStar will be the recipient of a special prize! FUN, no?!

Sisterhood Says:: Who didn’t love Simon Says as a child? In the check-in posts each Wednesday, you will receive a weekly health/fitness goal to add in to your routine! You can do it!

SisterChat:: A great way to mingle with the familiar faces around the Sisterhood, as well as the new ones! We will be unbuttoning our jeans and chatting at the ‘hood, every Monday night at 8 p.m. Central time! There are no topics off limits, so come let it all hang out with our social sister, Colleen, and the rest of our gang!

Sisterhood Happy Hour:: Join us on Twitter Thursday nights at 10 p.m. Central time! Mel will be hosting a happy hour, so fill your glasses, bring your recipes, and come relax with us!
