It’s so refreshing to be writing up a Toot Your Horn post and actually feel I have something to toot about! I’m actually rather proud of myself. It’s January 8 and I have been religiously watching my food intake and exercising since January 1. Yes, I know that most New Year’s resolutions go by the wayside, so I’m trying to see this as a lifestyle change. Honestly, something had to give. I’ve not only been feeling unattractive, I’ve been feeling unhealthy. My back is aching and I’m tired. And I’m not cool with that at all. So I’ve been logging on MyFitnessPal and hitting the yoga studio and running. For even more incentive, I’m in two weight loss pools and am in the running to win some money for losing weight. If that’s not incentive, I don’t know what is! I’ve also been drinking my water and just trying to be super conscious of everything – from getting enough sleep to taking time to do REAL self grooming. Like actually putting on makeup and REAL clothes. At least a few days a week, I’m making it out of yoga pants. I feel SO much better, already. It’s truly amazing how making a few changes can really help your psyche. I can’t wait to see how I feel in a few months if I keep it up…WHEN I keep it up.
