When you roll out of bed in the morning, what’s the first thing you do?
Me, I check my phone. I know, BAD.
However, once I have the kids off to school, I either exercise or run, OR get ready for work. Some days, my body is tight and ache-y from you know, sleeping and being older. On days that I have a particularly hard run scheduled or when my body is especially tightly wound, I like to carve out 7 minutes for this yoga routine, also known as *7 Minute Yoga to Start Your Day!
It is just a morning routine for ANYONE to do, not just for runners. In fact, it is called Morning Yoga for Flexibility and I love it. All you need is 7 minutes and your body will be feeling looser and more flexible. Anyone can find 7 minutes of free time, right?
This sequence does an excellent job of releasing tension and waking up your muscles, from your back to your hamstrings to your chest and more. This is my FAVORITE yoga sequence when I am looking for something to get me going in the morning and when I am short on time.
Do you have 7 minutes to spare? Do you have a favorite yoga sequence or routine that the rest of us should check out?
