Good morning loyal shrinkers! Yesterday was the official end of our Get Off Your Broom and Get Movin’ Challenge. Have you weighed in and submitted your final pictures to DietBet yet? And most importantly, did you lose 4% and WIN?!
It’s November now, and this time of year, people are starting to realize that THE END IS NEAR. The end of the year, that is. And OMFG I haven’t lost the weight I planned to lose this year. Then they think crazy things like, I AM A TOTAL FAILURE.
Stop that shit. You are not a total failure. Whether you lost the weight, gained some weight, or stayed the same, you are not a failure. The fact that you’re even here checking in today is a good sign. All hope is not lost. Now, if you’ve gained weight this year, I’m going to give you a little tough love right now (avert your eyes, if you feel you don’t need tough love).
GET SERIOUS AND GET OFF YOUR ASS. The weight isn’t going to lose itself. You have to eat less and move more. It’s a proven fact. That food did not magically jump into your mouth and plant itself on your hips. There is no miracle pill or drink or supplement. If you want to lose, you have to work your ass off. It’s not easy. It’s not always fun. But it doesn’t have to SUCK. If you click around here, you’ll see lots of great MOTIVATION with tons of ideas for exercise on the go, tips on healthy eating while on the road, and uplifting support. And you’ll also find commiseration for when you do fall off the wagon. Because yeah, it sucks for us sometimes, too.
And be sure you’re liking us on Facebook. Because over there, we will keep you motivated all. day. long. Promise.
So now I have a question for you. All of you losers alike.
What do you want to see around here for the rest of this year? Do you want another CHALLENGE? A DietBet? I was thinking of doing a 4-Week DietBet between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Now, don’t GROAN. Seriously. I know it’s the HARDEST time of the year to lose weight because of all the parties and food and cheer. But that’s exactly why WE need the extra help and accountability.
So yay or nay on the challenge? Or do you have any great ideas? We’re always open to reader suggestions.
All I know is I need to do something about the weight I gained this year. Yeah, I said it. I gained this year. And it sucks.
